There’s no fascination/allure like snow to a boy from SoCal. We tend to romanticize the snow on the West Coast (we don’t get much of it). The incoming snowstorm of 2015 in New York excited me as the first snowflakes started to fall. This lasted for all of fifteen minutes. The light snowfall turned into a dangerous blizzard within an hour. Every road was closed to the public, and tragically, the access to Pizza was halted. But the true beauty of this winter wonderland was the open roads accessible by foot. The serene, white winter blanket brought joy and fulfilled all the expectations of this SoCal boy.
